Enterprises University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd is the commercial hub that manages and implements business activities of the University of Pretoria (UP). Wholly-owned by the University, the company manages and executes the commercial research and training activities of the University.


The Research and Consulting Solutions division has a vacant position of a Business Developer whose key outputs include business intelligence generation, conceptualisation of solutions and services, new business generation, business administration and reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

Education and qualifications:
• Relevant three-year tertiary qualification of at least 3 years in duration/ Degree, preferably in the areas of Business Management or Sales (NQF 7)
• Valid driver’s license.
• South African citizen.


Knowledge, skills, and experience:
• 2 – 3 years of experience in Business Development/Sales/Marketing/Consulting
• Contract and research management experience
• Project management experience
• Tenders, quotations, proposals, and report conceptualisation and writing
• Principles of research
• Business sourcing and development
• Budget compilation
• Networking and negotiation
• Company systems
• Attention to detail and sound administrative discipline

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Explore and generate business opportunities via Tenders, EOI’s, PFQ’s and RFP’s.
• Explore and generate business opportunities via engagement with the external market and clients
• Project and office administration and support to the Business Manager/ Portfolio
• Reporting
