Enterprises UP and UP join forces with the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) in upcoming courses

Enterprises University of Pretoria (Enterprises UP) in collaboration with the University of Pretoria and the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) have partnered to launch and present the Advanced Course in Hygienic Design. The course will be jointly presented in 2023 and is a testament to Enterprises UP’s commitment of Shifting Knowledge to Insight. Essential insights in hygienic design of food production equipment, cleaning measures and material handling, and the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of hygienic design will be covered in detail.

The EHEDG Advanced Course in Hygienic Design emphasises the importance of Hygienic design in the Food and Beverage, as well as related Industries which will point out the risks for the producers (cost in downtime, recalls, reputation, etc), more especially the end consumer. The course will delve into hygienic design criteria, hygienic design of equipment and facilities, including engineering concepts and its impact on Hygiene and operational efficiencies.

After completing this Advanced Course in Hygienic Design you will be up to speed with the latest guidelines of EHEDG and the regulations in Food Safety. Names of delegates who have passed successfully will also be published on the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) website.
